Who we are
Ranklog (“Ranklog,” “we,” “us”) runs the website at www.ranklog.app, where scouts publish football and basketball rankings with a public version history. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can have it deleted. Questions go to support@ranklog.app.
Information we collect
When you sign in with X or Instagram
You can sign in with X or with Instagram. Instagram sign-in works the same way as X sign-in. From the network you use, we store your handle and your profile picture. Your handle becomes the public byline on your rankings. We do not store the rest of that account’s data, including posts, comments, insights, follower counts, messages, or access tokens.
Information you provide
Your profile details (display name, bio, website, TikTok handle, and profile photo) and the rankings you publish. Rankings can include details about high-school athletes, such as name, graduation year, position, hometown, height, weight, school, offers, and commitments.
Publishing records
The first time you publish, you confirm with a passkey (Face ID, fingerprint, or device PIN). Your biometric data never leaves your device; we store only the passkey’s public key. Each published version is fingerprinted and recorded on the Arc blockchain along with your public publisher address.
Collected automatically
Cookies that keep you signed in and complete sign-in securely, plus standard server logs from our hosting provider, such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested. We do not use advertising cookies.
How we use information
- To sign you in and keep your account secure.
- To show your public profile, rankings, and version history.
- To show your handle and profile picture on your public profile.
- To calculate your scout score from recent public posts on the network you used to sign in. We keep the score, not the posts.
- To prevent abuse, fix problems, and improve Ranklog.
We do not sell your personal information.
What is public
Your handle, profile picture, profile details, and published rankings with their full version history are public on Ranklog and can be embedded on other sites.
Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers that help run Ranklog, and only as needed:
- Vercel, which hosts the website.
- Supabase, which stores account and ranking data.
- X or Instagram, to sign you in.
- An AI scoring provider, which reads recent public posts from that network to produce your scout score.
- Google Maps Platform, which suggests places when you enter a hometown.
- The Arc blockchain, where publishing fingerprints and publisher addresses are recorded publicly.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
How long we keep information
We keep your handle and profile picture while your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete them with the rest of your account data within 30 days. Records already written to the Arc blockchain are public and cannot be erased, but we remove our copies and links to your account.
How to delete your data
Email support@ranklog.app from the address or account you use with Ranklog and ask us to delete your data. Include the X or Instagram handle you used to sign in. We will confirm the request and delete your account, handle, profile picture, and rankings within 30 days.
You can also remove Ranklog’s access in X under Settings → Security and account access → Apps and sessions, or in Instagram under Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites.
Children
Ranklog accounts are for adults. Rankings may name high-school athletes based on public recruiting information. A parent, guardian, or athlete can email support@ranklog.app to ask us to correct or remove an athlete’s information.
